Mitsubishi Eclipse 99 2.0 non-turbo. its making a loud clanking?

The clanking is coming from the engine side of the car and it gets progressively louder when i give it gas. Its lost alot of power too. It almost sounds like its coming from below the valve cover. I just replaced entire clutch and control arms thinking it might be it but it continued. does anyone have any idea what it might be?
