What does it take to be a nurse?

I really think I want to be a nurse. the only thing is im a bit squeamish. (one thing that REALLY bothers me is the idea of catheters. i don't know why...and i know it's weird.) I think I can get over it if I try, but I don't know exactly what the job entails besides the basics.
