Is this normal?(female problems)?

Everything I start my period I get very, very sick, my sugar drops, I feel like I have to throw up and I get light headed, I went to see my nurse, but she was like it's natural. Even if that is true, I know there's something else going on, I can't even walk sometimes and its not even the cramps.
