Genie chain glide garage door motor continues to run even after the door is closed?

I have a Genie Chain Glide garage door opener (PCG500ML). The door has no problem opening but when closing there is a clanking sound and after the door is closed the motor continues to run. Is this due to the limit switch? Thanks in advance
