Why are video games now all about first person shooters??!!?

or just gun related games i remember in the ps2 and gamecube days with tales of symphonia, kingdom hearts, kolona, rachet and clank, burnout 3, dragon quest ape escape..etc im sick of seeing shooters and rated M games dominating the gaming market...I blame call of duty I mean i like shooters but dang theres just too many these days
