Is the 1988 OMC 4.3 Cobra motor the same as 1988 Chevy truck motor?

I have heard that these motors are made by both Ford and GM and I want to know if there is any difference for the marine and auto motors? I just bought a boat with this motor as an upgrade from my old boat with a Force motor. The carb has a GM stamp on it so I am assuming that it is GM made? Can I just buy parts for the 4.3 at an auto parts store?
