Is a Cobra a Mustang? Or type of Mustang?

The new 2011 Ford Mustang Shelbey GT500 has a Cobro logo on it, and I was wondering why it does? I just want to clarify so I don't sound dumb when I tell people a Cobra is a Mustang...
